Crunchy Resolutions: Megan’s Morning Routine


New Year’s resolutions are hard. Being a founder in the wellness industry, I am constantly surrounded by motivation to live a healthier and happier life, but sometimes life gets in the way. The New Year is a great opportunity to reset and revitalize our habits, relationships, and goals for the year ahead.
In 2024, my resolution is simple: stick with a consistent morning routine each day. The way that we start our day sets the tone for everything that follows. A well-crafted morning routine can be a game-changer for our mental and physical health. Pouring into myself each morning helps ensure that my cup is full so that I can pour into others and support the growth of my business!

Here’s what I want my morning routine to look like in 2024:


Mindful Moments:
Meditating on my acupressure mat every morning is an essential part of my routine. It helps me to center and refocus for the day ahead. I like to choose a meditation from the MWH (Melissa Wood Health) library. I choose a length and focus that suits my day ahead and sink into bliss on the mat. It’s the most peaceful part of my day.


Self-Care:
One of my favorite parts of my morning routine is my skin and self-care routine. First, I use my gua sha and jade roller to reduce inflammation and help improve circulation in my face and neck. Next, I use frozen eye gels to de-puff my eyes and wake myself up! Last, I go over my cheeks, under-eyes, and neck with an ice-roller to help depuff any lingering inflammation. This quick three-step routine always leaves me feeling refreshed.

Sweat:
After I wake up my mind and skin for the day, it’s time for a good sweat. Saunas are one of my favorite ways to detox. Saunas boost circulation, improve cardiovascular health, and decrease fatigue. 20 minutes of peace and heat in the morning activates my body and mind for the day ahead.

Hydration:
